O Connor Travel Upper Main Street
Castleisland Co Kerry O Connor Travel is a small family run
business that has been operating in Castleisland for three
generations.
The business was established around 1925 with one of the first
cars in Castleisland. It was started by Thomas 'Tom Sean' O
Connor. He also ran the towns first car garage and looked after
the towns water pump houses.
The business was passed on from Thomas 'Tom Sean' to his
son, Patrick 'Tom Sean'. Patrick ran the business from 1955
until he passed away in 1996. He expanded the business in
that forty years and established a large and loyal customer
base.

After Patrick passed away, his wife continued to expand
the business further and moved towards coach tours and
started catering for larger numbers of people, while
still providing a high class local service.
The business is still run by Cathleen with the help of
her two sons, Thomas and Timothy.
